Some delightful links that you all really should be utilizing nigh-on constantly. I may follow this up with other good stuff, like webcomics that I'm silently judging you for not reading.

Escapepod.org. A weekly podcast of sci-fi stories. Great stuff. I really recommend Ep. 115, "Conversations With and About My Electric Toothbrush." It's pretty fantastic. And everyone should really listen to Ep. 169, "How I Mounted Goldie, Saved My Partner Lori, and Sniffed Out The People's Justice", because it's about the most delightful thing that could possibly strike your eardrums.

Pseudopod.org. Just like Escape Pod, but for horror. Sometimes better, sometimes worse. Depends on your style, I suppose. There's a great reading of "The Music of Erich Zann" up there somewhere, but I don't feel like looking it up right now. It's a good way to spend about 45 minutes a week, though.

OTR.net. The Old Time Radio Network. I highly recommend "X Minus One". Classic stuff. If you prefer to ironically enjoy stuff, check out "I Was a Communist for the FBI."

You're really not listening to Radio Lab? Then you're a horrible person and I don' t think we can be friends anymore. It's for your own good, really. Come back when you've listened to the dulcet tones of Jad and Robert, and just try telling me that it wasn't pure genius. Just try it. I dare ya.

Jamendo is kinda cool, it's a free music site that basically just deals with artsts who want their music to be free on there. So if'n you don't wanna steal or nothin', this is a good place to get new music if you're a cheapskate who doesn't like the radio. Just like me. I've found some pretty okay stuff on there occasionally!

You should probably be listening to On The Media as well, because it's a great way to get into the news behind the news, the stories about how the news is produced, reported, percieved, etc. Okay, so maybe I'm a bit of a wonk for automatically being interested in it, but there's some really great stuff on here. It's a winner.

You already listen to This American Life, so I don't need to tell you about it, but you should really check out Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, because it's hilarious. And informative. But mostly hilarious.

Press Start is genuinely interesting and entertaining. It's about video games. They never freakin' update anymore. But it's good. (Seriously? It takes two weeks to do a 15 minute podcast? Weak. But only because it's so good. Otherwise I'd just chuck it.)

Another alt-npr podcast that I really, really enjoy is It's All Politics. It's in-depth, and filled with Ken Rudin's incredibly painful sense of humor. Oh, what fun.

You already know about Democracy Now! but I'll link it anyway. I used to listen religiously when I had a long daily bus ride. I miss that ride, if only for that reason.

I've got some others, but they might be kinda specific to my particular tastes. This stuff should keep y'all occupied for a time, though! Basically I'm just trying to fill up your ipod with crap.
